Medical Director (Psychiatrist) – Part Time

Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as a Part-Time Medical Director for a hospital-based behavioral health program in Peoria, Illinois. This is a leadership-focused role ideal for a psychiatrist who enjoys oversight, collaboration, and clinical mentorship without the demands of full-time clinical volume.

Responsibilities
-Provide medical oversight for psychiatric services within the hospital program.
-Attend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
-Review and staff complex cases with Nurse Practitioner as needed.
-Supervise and oversee psychiatric management performed by Nurse Practitioner.
-Ensure clinical care meets regulatory, quality, and documentation standards.
-Support best practices in patient safety and psychiatric treatment planning.
-Collaborate with hospital administration as appropriate.

Qualifications
-Board Certified in Psychiatry (Required).
-Active and unrestricted Illinois medical license (Required).
-Experience in hospital-based or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred.
-Strong leadership and communication skills.
-Comfort supervising advanced practice providers.

Schedule
3–5 hours per week with flexible scheduling. Combination of on-site presence and potential remote chart review (if applicable).

$300 – $400 an hour – Part-time.
