Dr. Jacob Fyda, MD

Dr. Jacob Fyda MD is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. He is a native of Clearwater, Florida. He studied Biology at the University of Florida. He completed his medical education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After medical school, Dr. Jacob Fyda trained at the University of Illinois at Chicago general psychiatry residency.  His clinical focus is in adult and geriatric psychiatry. He sees patients for a range of conditions including depression, bipolar, anxiety, schizophrenia, ADHD, cognitive disorders, OCD and substance use disorders. Dr. Fyda’s research interests include the minimal use of psychotropics in patients living with dementia, and de-prescribing psychotropic medications in the elderly. Dr Fyda regularly presents on these topics at national and local conferences. Dr. Fyda has served in leadership roles in various organizations, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.
