Krystal Allen, PMHNP

Krystal Allen, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree from Northern Illinois University before completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University, specializing in psychiatric mental health care.

Krystal’s dedication to mental health began at a young age through personal experiences supporting loved ones affected by mental health challenges, inspiring her commitment to compassionate and patient-centered care. With over a decade of experience in psychiatric and behavioral health settings, Krystal’s background includes inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and leadership roles in assisted living and memory care. She is experienced in supporting individuals with a variety of mental health concerns and is known for creating a welcoming environment where patients feel safe, heard, and respected. Krystal believes mental health treatment should be collaborative and individualized. By integrating evidence-based practices with thoughtful attention to each patient’s emotional well-being, lifestyle, medical history, and personal goals, she strives to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting wellness.

Outside of her professional role, Krystal enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking walks with her dog, and prioritizing mindfulness and self-care in her everyday life.
