Shira Cohen, NP

Shira Cohen was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She moved to Chicago with her parents and siblings to pursue a better education. She completed her undergraduate studies at North Park University and later returned to obtain her graduate degree. Shira’s commitment to enhancing mental health care developed during her many years of volunteer work with children with rare medical complexities. Known for her empathetic approach and collaborative spirit, Shira brings a wealth of compassion, expertise, and experience to her practice.

She is passionate about bringing high-quality psychiatric care to underserved populations and strives for a holistic treatment approach that encompasses the unique needs of each individual. She is deeply committed to ongoing professional development and advancements in psychiatric care. Her aspiration to complete her PhD reflects her commitment to contributing knowledge and shaping the future of mental health care through education.

Outside of work, Shira enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and two kids.
